AI transparency

Effective

How Yigcore works with AI, and our current reading of the AI Act. It reflects the product as it stands during the pilot and is reviewed as the product and the regulation's guidance evolve.

1. Where the AI is

Yigcore is desktop software that works over your own Excel workbooks. It contains no AI model and holds no model key. It reads your workbooks into a map, runs a workflow made of fixed, reviewable steps, writes input cells into draft copies, lets Excel compute every figure, and stops for a person's decision.

AI comes in only if you connect an agent host you choose, such as Claude or Codex. That host and its model provider supply the AI: the agent can read the map you allow, propose a workflow, start a run and draft changes. You contract with that provider directly, under its terms.

2. Our reading of the AI Act

On that basis, our current assessment is that Yigcore itself is not an AI system or a general-purpose AI model within the meaning of Article 3 of the AI Act: its own steps follow fixed rules and do not infer outputs from a model. The AI system is the agent host you connect, whose provider bears the provider obligations. When you use an agent host at work, you are its deployer. If our product changes so that this reading no longer holds, we will update this page before that version is offered.

3. People stay in charge

These are design rules of the product. During the pilot, the home page lists which parts already run and which are still being validated.

  • Changes proposed by an agent are written to draft copies; your working files change only when a person accepts them.
  • A workflow stops when it meets something it should not guess, and waits for a person's decision.
  • Excel computes the figures; nothing in Yigcore produces a figure from a model.
  • Each run is recorded: what was written, which checks passed, who decided and who accepted.

4. Uses we exclude

Yigcore is built for recurring spreadsheet work, whatever the business domain; the first pilots run on monthly finance reporting. The pilot agreement excludes its use as part of the high-risk uses listed in Annex III of the AI Act, including:

  • credit scoring or creditworthiness assessment of individuals;
  • risk assessment and pricing of life or health insurance for individuals;
  • recruitment, evaluation or management of workers;
  • access to education, public benefits or essential services;
  • law enforcement, migration, border control and justice.

Any practice prohibited by Article 5 of the AI Act is excluded in every case.

5. Your data and AI training

We train no model, and we receive neither your workbooks nor your conversations with your agent host. What the agent reads is processed by your agent host and its model provider under their terms; check those terms for their own use of data.

6. The film and the preview

The film and the interactive preview on the home page use fictitious data and show the intended product, including features still under validation. The preview runs scripted steps in your browser; no AI model is called.
